Conserving the Belgrade Lakes Headwater Streams

Here’s a video produced as part of the 2014 Colby College Environmental Science Capstone.
This year the students researched the anthropogenic effects of road-crossings and land use on headwater streams here in the Belgrade Lakes region. This video was made by the conservation lessons team in an attempt to stress the importance of headwaters in the watershed ecosystem.
The students thank the Belgrade Regional Conservation Alliance and the Maine Lakes Society for their support and collaboration on the making of this video.
