The Annex
The Annex Learning Center is an extension of the Maine Lakes Resource Center and aims to engage visitors using hands-on education. The Annex offers a variety of courses ranging from natural history to graphite drawing. Whether viewing the stages of development of wood frogs or setting up an easel on the stream-side dock, the Annex offers experiences for all ages and all skill levels. Here, art and science share the stage as learners come to understand the powerful connections between the two. The Annex is located just down the road from the Maine Lakes Resource Center at 171 Main St. in the Belgrade Lakes Village. The Annex is connected to the Belgrade Lakes Post Office and has public docks located on the stream directly behind the building.

Demonstrations of recycling found objects – fabrics, flower painting, fabric dyeing, cardboard art.

Artistic Wednesdays
Paint and draw with visiting artists – for all ages. $10/person/hour. Watercolors, acrylics, graphite. Begins at Noon.

A variety of local artists demonstrating and sharing their skills. Begins at noon.
